Sale! Flouncy Knit Peasant Top Girls PDF Sewing Pattern
Product type: PDF Sewing Pattern
Skill Level: Beginner (elastic casing method) to advanced beginner (shirring method)
Size Range: 3-6m to girls size 10This easy to sew peasant top is such a wardrobe staple, perfect for any time of year! Designed to be made with stretch knit fabrics, this fitted top looks adorable on its own…. or wear it underneath a dress for a layered look. This tutorial comes with three sleeve lengths: short sleeve, ¾ length, and long sleeve. The neckline and sleeves can be shirred using elastic thread, for an adorable ruffled look. The raw edge of the fabric around the neckline, flounce and sleeve edges can be left unfinished/raw…or create a “lettuce” edged effect using a zig zag stitch on your sewing machine or a rolled hem with your serger. As an alternative for those who prefer to avoid shirring, this top can also be made with elastic casings and ¼”wide elastic. A whimsical “flounce” at the bottom of the top adds additional charm, and an optional ruched ruffle sewn between the body of the top and the flounce completes the look. You also have the option of adding a traditional ruffle to the bottom of the top instead of the flounce (instructions provided in addendum 2 at the end of the tutorial).
Includes directions for sizes 3-6 months up to size 10. Happy sewing!
