The Audrey Classic Girls Dress is simple yet sophisticated! The fully lined bodice buttons up the front and has a classic V-neckline with an adorable collar. The sleeves include both short and elbow length options…and for the warmer months this dress can be made sleeveless. The short sleeves can be finished with your choice of a simple hem or an elastic casing and the elbow length sleeves can be trimmed with either ruffles or straight cuffs. Optional ties are added to the bodice side seams and can be tied in either the front or the back of the dress. To give the bodice a flattering semi-fitted look, instructions are provided for adding your choice of either ¼” elastic or darts to the back bodice. The gorgeous full circle skirt is gathered at the top edge, providing amazing fullness and twirl power! A fabric saving rectangle skirt option is also offered which can be trimmed with a ruffle at the bottom if you wish. You can also add decorative buttons to the skirt if desired. To emphasize the fullness of the skirt, this dress looks amazing with a pettiskirt underneath (also available at Foofoo Threads). This project is appropriate for an advanced beginner or intermediate sewist. Girl’s sizes 6-12M through 11/12.
