New! Clementine Vintage Style Dress with Extended Flutter Sleeves PDF Sewing Pattern
Product Type: PDF Sewing Pattern
Skill Level: Intermediate
Size Range: 6-12M to girls size 10
Layers Printing Option? Yes
The Clementine Dress offers an adorable mixture of vintage and modern design elements. The fully lined pullover style bodice has extended armhole seams, allowing the placement of extra long flutter sleeves. There is also a darling Peter Pan style collar trimming the neckline in front. The open style back is elasticized at the bottom, allowing for a fitted look while still being comfortable for your little one to wear. The upper portion of the back bodice is closed with simple ties that tie in a knot. The gorgeous full circle skirt is gathered at the top edge, providing amazing fullness and twirl power! A fabric saving rectangle skirt option is also provided. You may hem your skirt with a simple folded hem, bias tape or the sewing trim of your choice (eg ric rac, pom pom trim, crocheted lace, etc). An optional sash is sewn to the outside of the bodice and ties in the back to complete the look. Looking for a simpler project? You can also make this dress without the flutter sleeves and collar! This pattern DOES offer a layered printing option, allowing you to print only the size/sizes you need!
To emphasize the fullness of the skirt, this dress looks amazing with a pettiskirt worn underneath (also available at Foofoo Threads). This project is appropriate for an intermediate sewist.... although the simplified version (without the flutter sleeves) is appropriate for a confident beginner. Girl’s sizes 6-12M through 10 are included. Happy sewing!
