Two bonus tutorials included with this pattern! How to make an easy Pettiskirt with Tulle Ruffles and Easy Decorative Bow....
This gorgeous dress will make your little girl feel truly special! The traditionally styled front bodice has been given a fairytale look by the addition of a pointed centrifice at the bottom center (note that it is easy to make this bodice without the centrifice if you wish!). The flutter sleeves wrap around the armholes and continue down the length of the straps in back. The straps tie in a knot through a buttonhole in the elasticized back bodice. This bodice looks equally gorgeous from front or back! The semi-circle skirt is made up of four panels and can be made in tea (knee) or maxi (floor) length. Choose the tea length for your next birthday party…or choose the romantic maxi length for the perfect flower girl dress! The skirt has four ruffled “godets” which are sewn between the skirt panels, adding volume and fullness to the dress. If you prefer, you can omit the godets and instead add ruffles to your back skirt panel, creating a “bustled” look. For the simplest of skirt options, omit both the ruffled back panel and the godets. To emphasize the fullness of this dress, a separate pettiskirt with tulle ruffle can be made to wear underneath. Easy instructions are provided in a separate tutorial as well as instructions for a decorative bow. This pattern was designed for woven fabric…. but it translates to stretch knits quite well! This pattern is appropriate for an intermediate sewist. Includes sizes 6-12m through 10. Happy stitching!
