Sasha Reverse Knot Triple Ruffle Girls Dress PDF Sewing Pattern
Product Type: PDF Sewing Tutorial. This design is made up entirely of rectangles, the dimensions of which are given in the cutting section of the tutorial (no pattern pieces to print and assemble!)
Skill Level: Intermediate or advanced beginner
Size Range: 3-6M to size 10 plus bonus 18" Doll size!
This adorable little reverse knot dress just got better! Newly revised tutorial with additional sizes including 18" American Girl style doll size!
The Sasha Dress is so much fun... wear it as a sundress during the summer, or wear it with a long sleeve tee underneath during the winter. The fully lined, bandeau style bodice is elasticized in back using one of two methods: shirring (using elastic thread) or elastic casings (using ¼” elastic). Both methods are described in detail in this tutorial. The straps tie in either a knot or bow through a buttonhole in the back bodice. Three adorable ruffles trim the bottom of the skirt. The Sasha Dress is lovely sewn up in quilting cotton, lighter weight linen, voile, batiste, silk, Swiss dot or just about anything that isn’t too heavyweight. Appropriate for an intermediate sewist or advanced beginner with a good understanding of basic dress making principles (for example, should be comfortable with gathering and making buttonholes). No pattern pieces to print and assemble! All the components are rectangles, the dimensions of which are given in the cutting section of the tutorial. Includes girl sizes 3-6 months through size 10…. plus, as an added bonus, this tutorial now includes instructions and dimensions for making a dress for an 18” American Girl doll! Happy sewing!
